Event Details

The 1950s were a decade marked by the post-World War II boom, the dawn of the Cold War and the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. During the 1950s, the United States was the world's strongest military power, the economy was booming, and the fruits of this prosperity - new cars, suburban houses and other consumer goods - were available to more people than ever before. The booming prosperity o the 1950s helped to create a widespread sense of stability, contentment and consensus in the United States.

The 1950's were full of poodle skirts, greasers and some amazing food. Take a trip down memory lane with old recipes for 1950's food. These appetizers, main courses and desserts were popular back when a gallon of milk only cost $0.82!
