Arizona native Bart Ambrose grew up on an Arizona cotton farm where he spent his nights reading novels and teaching himself to play guitar. He graduated from ASU and worked as a natural resource conservationist. A second career took him to Nashville, writing and teaching songwriting and guitar. In his first novel, “Cactizonians’ Treasure,” he takes readers on a vivid journey through the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and Mexico in a fascinating twist on a lost treasure legend. Bart and his wife live near Tucson, Arizona. His hobbies include writing haiku, travel, and the pursuit of the perfect chili relleno.

Local authors discuss their inspiration for the art of writing and share their latest titles at Desert Foothills Library. Each author brings their own style to this series from lecture, to song, to book readings that will surely pique the curiosity. Join us for one or all eight – the choice is yours to engage with area authors in DFL’s AZ Author Series 2022. Books by each author may be available at the event for purchase or bring along your own copy for an autograph.
