Program Description

Event Details

Half a nautical mile off the French coast, surrounded by vast sandbars and exposed to powerful tides, a granite outcrop rises sharply. At its top, between Heaven and Earth, under the protection of the Archangel Michael stands a magnificent abbey. This is Le Mont-Saint-Michel.

How did it come to be? How significant was it for the people of the Middle-Ages?

Follow Dominique Flamm through the treacherous quick sands of the bay to discover this UNESCO architectural “Wonder”.

Dominique graduated from the École du Louvre in Paris studying art history and museology, and was an Art Lecturer of the French National Museums before moving to the United States where she began her teaching career.
