Cave Creek is a remarkable stream, all the way from its source in Yavapai County to Phoenix and beyond. It has two flood control dams; one that can cover over the other.
How big are the floods? (Three in recent years have exceeded the flow of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon; briefly.) How does Cave Creek cross the Central Arizona Project canal without a mixing of flood and potable waters? And where's the Cave? All will be told in a journey of narrative and images.
