Enjoy a guided tour through the historical world and fantasy worldmaking of J.R.R. Tolkien, renowned author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. In this multi-media lecture, Elyse Pineau weaves stories from the author’s life and influences as an Oxford professor, together with images of his work and creative process.  

Elyse draws on her years teaching Tolkien’s work and leading Study Abroad excursions to Oxford University, where she conducted research in the Tolkien Special Collections at the Bodleian Library.
