Program Description

Event Details

Shortly after his death, Pharaoh Akhenaten's capital was abandoned and its buildings dismantled. The king's name was obliterated and his images defaced, condemning him to oblivion for centuries.

Who was this man?

What did he do to deserve such a fate?

Let's travel back in time and follow the "heretic pharaoh" into a troubled period of Egypt's history.

Dominique graduated from the École du Louvre in Paris studying art history and museology, and was an Art Lecturer of the French National Museums before moving to the United States where she began her teaching career.
