Tom Subranni will teach you this classic Gnocchi alla Romana recipe - a must-try dish for those seeking Italian comfort food goodness. The baked semolina gnocchi dough, with plenty of grated Parmesan on top, results in a stunning secondi or side dish with a crisp golden exterior and soft interior.

As an added bonus, Tom will show you how to make the classic Italian Pizzelle cookies. These crisp cookies are a popular sweet in Abbruzzo for celebratory events. They are light, simple, and delicious and are a great accompaniment to gelato or sorbet- or on their own, with a platter of ripe summer fruits.

Tom Subranni is a retired attorney and a recent snowbird resident of Lone Mountain. Besides being a dedicated plant person, he has been making bread and other Italian recipes for over 40 years.

This is Tom's second year presenting baking recipes at the Desert Foothills Library.

Tom’s cell is 609-335-1882 and he would be glad to take calls.
