Program Description

Event Details

On April 15 1874, two weeks before the start of the official Paris Salon, a group of young artists, later known as the Impressionists, independently presented their works for the first time. The public was shocked.

Why did Impressionism create such an emotional reaction?

What made this new vision so exasperating to the society of the Belle Époque?

Step into the dazzling colors of the Impressionist world with Dominique Flamm.

Dominique graduated from the École du Louvre in Paris studying art history and museology, and was an Art Lecturer of the French National Museums before moving to the United States where she began her teaching career.
