Youth for Troops is excited to announce a Freedom Isn’t Free event at Desert Foothills Library. This open-house style event is open to all ages and will include a donation drive, special holiday projects, box decorating, and appreciation card writing. Youth for Troops will also be collecting Halloween candy to ship to deployed troops. Youth for Troops uses candy year-round as packing peanuts for care packages and is currently running low on this item.
This is a local, youth-led nonprofit that supports deployed troops and veterans. They offer monthly community service opportunities for all ages. Desert Foothills Library is now a local donation drop-off location for Youth for Troops. A donation box is located in the library to collect items for the monthly care packing events.
