Little Explorers Sensory Playdate
Young children are just starting to explore and understand the world. Part of this is through sensory play and exploration where children encounter different shapes, textures, colors and objects. Manipulating objects expands imagination, encourages cooperation, develops problem-solving and fine motor skills. Activities will rotate each month between sensory bins, kinetic sand, water table, building toys and manipulatives, and more!
International Film Series: Around the World in 9 Films
Movies are a great way to learn about different cultures -- how people live, love, laugh, and cope
with hardships and tragedy. This series will explore films from nine different countries, each one
telling the story of individuals caught up in conflicts unique to their culture and country and yet, at
the same time, linking a thread of humanity that stretches across the globe. A post-film discussion,
facilitated by Gary Zaro, Humanities Professor from Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC),
will follow.
