Family Storytime

Join Desert Foothills Library and Desert Foothills Land Trust for an outdoor Storytime adventure! We'll read a book about our beautiful desert together and complete a hands-on desert activity, then explore Saguaro Hill Preserve next door!

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear closed-toe shoes and sun protection, and bring water. Plan on being outside for about 20 minutes in desert conditions. Walk up Saguaro Hill perfect for ages 5 and up.

Rachel Stringham is a naturalist who loves our Sonoran Desert home and enjoys helping others discover its beauty. She has a particular fondness for anything with wings—birds, bats, or bugs, she loves them all. As Community Engagement Director for Desert Foothills Land Trust, Rachel gets to spend her days connecting people to nature and protecting the desert for generations to come.
